So thought this was going to be the exciting announcement of finally the first full virtual reality video BUT the preview that looked great on the phone didn’t let us know that B’s whole head would be in the video!! lol 🙂

We at least moved the lights far enough back from the first short test we did before so I think the lighting looks much better but now it’s only really reality if you imagine yourself standing on B’s forehead 🙂

Obviously you are free to play with and enjoy or laugh at this one but this is NOT your official VR video I’ve been promising and still going to do another new one until we finally get this right!! 🙂

Hopefully each one will get better and we’ll figure this out eventually!! 🙂

Lelu, I heard what you and B said on the podcast about not knowing what to do to actually view and test your VR videos after making them. This web page FAQ question is from your camera manufacturer’s website. They give a link for a Mac/Windows program and a couple for iPhone and Android as well. I hope this helps. Jeff

Lelu, instead of the Mac/Windows program VUZE recommends at that link above (I personally didn’t care for it, and had some problems on my Windows PC), I would recommend VLC Player, from https://www.videolan.org . Their program is pretty much for every platform (Mac, Win, Android, iOS, etc.) out there. I had no problems using it where you can at least look around to see everything using your mouse on my Win PC.

For the VR video (after doing my tweaking like I did with the last video to make it work for me with my unique setup), I’m not too sure what viewpoint you were looking for. I mean, if you look straight down, yes, you see B’s smiling face. But, if you look up slightly, you see his t-shirt and you. I’ll send you a couple of screenshots (since I can’t post them here) so you can see for yourself. Jeff

Thanks so much Jeff, we got the headset but haven’t tried it yet and that will definitely help!! 🙂

I personally use “wirlygig” on my pc for viewing VR content- it can play almost every kind of perspective, & corrects for errors and personal taste for viewing to suit the individual 👍
